Day 01 – Arrival<\/strong><\/p>\n

Day 02 – Stage 1: Set\u00fabal | Santo Andr\u00e9 (59 km | +423m)<\/strong><\/p>\n

On a scenic bay on the mouth of the Sado River lies Set\u00fabal, whose fortune was built on its fishing industry during the 20th Century. Take some time to visit its Manueline monastery, its churches, acclaimed market, and museums. Your journey starts with a ferry crossing through the Sado Estuary Natural Reserve, a lovely ride where you can often see dolphins and multiple bird species. You will disembark at the Troia Peninsula, with an idyllic landscape over the Serra da Arr\u00e1bida, and you’ll cycle through Comporta, observing a large number of rice fields along the way. You’ll also cross the beautiful beach of Melides, a long stretch of sand that separates the sea from the Melides Lagoon.
\n<\/span>Your day continues until you get to Santo Andr\u00e9 lagoon, part of the Nature Reserve. The Costa de Santo Andr\u00e9 Beach is a long stretch of sand, with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the lagoon’s calm waters on the other. Surrounded by golden dunes, this beach and its challenging waters are very popular among surfers.

Day 03 – Stage 2: Santo Andr\u00e9 | Vila Nova de Mil Fontes\u00a0 (57.9 km | +445m)<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a day to purify your soul with the overwhelming views over the Atlantic Ocean.
\n<\/span>You’ll ride until Sines, where you’ll have the opportunity to see the Castle of Sines and the Sines quay, and a few km later, the S\u00e3o Torpes beach, one of the best beaches for surfing in the entire extent of the Portuguese coastline, with several schools available for those wishing to learn this sport.
\n<\/span>Enjoy your ride as you approach the coastline and Porto Covo, a picturesque fishermen\u2019s village.
\n<\/span>Your day will end in the picturesque village of Vila Nova de Mil Fontes, a pleasant town situated at the mouth of the River Mira.
\n<\/span>Overnight in Vila Nova de Milfontes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 04 – Stage 3: Vila Nova de Mil Fontes | Odeceixe (56.4 km | +487m)<\/strong><\/p>\n

This day you’ll ride in the Historical Way and you will be able to see many highlights, such as Longueira and the Village of Almograve. To the south, lies the Sard\u00e3o Cape, an untouched environment of great natural beauty. You’ll get to Zambujeira do Mar, a fishing village. Before ending your pedal, you’ll still have a chance to cross the beach of Carvalhal until arrive to Odeceixe.

Day 05 – Stage 4: Odeceixe | Carrapateira (45.2 km | +515m)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ride your bicycle in a loop that starts from your hotel and that will cross the Odeceixe Village and the Odeceixe beach, popular among surfers thanks to its sizeable waves.
\n<\/span>Visit the Museum of the Batata Doce (Sweet potato), where you will find the delicacies of the local sweetmeats and the manufacturers of the region based on the variety of the lira.

Day 06 – Stage 5:\u00a0 Carrapateira | Vila do Bispo (46.8 km | +509m)<\/strong><\/p>\n

A great day of riding in the Rota Vicentina cycling through several beaches that will mesmerize your memory such as the beach of Amoreira and the beach of Amado, at Carrapateira.
\n<\/span>You’ll arrive in Vila do Bispo with a feeling of adventure when discovering virgin beaches, a rich culture and a cuisine that serves the best the sea has.
\n<\/span>Overnight in Vila do Bispo.<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 07 – Stage 6:\u00a0 Loop Sagres (36.3 km | +268m)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cycle until Cordoama beach where the cliffs are tall, reaching over 100 metres in height and there is a hill that is not only a natural viewpoint but is also often used by paragliders as a take-off site.
\n<\/span>Five kilometers away from Sagres, lies Europe\u2019s southwesternmost point: Cape St. Vincent (Cabo de S\u00e3o Vicente).
